Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health disorders, and provide a neutral ground to individuals, families, and couples.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, collaborating throughout your counseling sessions, and customizing a treatment plan.
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
Dr. Andria Chatfield-Hernandez holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed psychologist in the state of California.

The type of therapy we do is called existential and person-centered. We believe in unconditional positive regard and that all people are entitled to respect, care, empathy, and to seek what is in their best interest as a human being.
The most central ideas in our work are that we all have the ability to change and grow if provided with the right tools and insight. The goals of our treatment are to assist you in what you want. We are very responsive to our client’s goals. We are your instrument to assist you in obtaining your goals whatever those may be. Our psychologists provide the mental and emotional tools and resources to obtain those goals.
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both couples and is a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.
We provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. We work individually, with families, with couples, as well as with groups. We provide teletherapy services as well.
Our licensed psychologist provides psychological, neuropsychological, and academic testing services. Depending upon need and request, we offer comprehensive or partial evaluations, assessment reports, referrals, and accommodation requests. In addition, we provide Alcohol and Drug assessments based on legal referral.
Treatment therapy groups are offered for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, grief/loss, and trauma. We hold parent training groups as well as parent training and couples' enhancement workshops.
We currently accept Cigna insurance. If you have a different insurance, upon request, we can provide you with a superbill that you may present to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Because our practice includes a Licensed Psychologist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor, many health insurance plans will help you pay for our services. Please read your plan’s booklet under coverage for “Outpatient Psychotherapy” or under “Treatment of Mental and Nervous Conditions.” Or call your employer’s benefits office to find out what you need to know.
